I understand your point here, but I honestly find the framing of "Men's Groups" very problematic. The reality is that everyone needs peer and social groups, and the closer your friends groups are the happier your quality of life (regardless of gender). Seeing it through a lense of "male", etc. seems like a projection rather than a truth.

There are studies of the differences in mental health between sexes, but those are often the result of many factors not the ones you specifically mention. It's not clear that gender of friends has anything to do with these, so why focus on that?
